The Italian label Etro stands for gorgeous colors, impressive prints and the famous Paysley pattern - and that in decades of family tradition. Gimmo and Roberta Etro founded a small fabric company in the 1960s. Inspired by their travels to India, they design the finest silk, cotton and linen fabrics in unusual colors and patterns. In 1983, the fabric company becomes the fashion company Etro, initially specializing in fine ties, shawls and scarves. After launching countless home collections, Etro finally shows its first fashion show in 1994. Today, daughter Veronica Etro designs the imaginative creations that stand for a relaxed, typically Italian look.
